Where our strains come from
Most dog probiotics borrow their bacteria from humans or dairy. Ours don’t. Gut & Immune uses canine-specific strains from a Canadian probiotics lab, and two of them were originally isolated from wolves, the dog’s ancestor.
Those two are Limosilactobacillus reuteri (WF-1) and Levilactobacillus brevis (WF-1B), from a patented, wolf-derived strain library. The patent covers the strains themselves, not a specific health outcome. They’re picked to suit a dog’s digestive system and paired with prebiotics to support digestive health and your dog’s natural immune function.
Straight answers before you buy
“A vet told me most probiotics are the same.”
The ones that act the same usually are the same: one strain, no prebiotic. Gut & Immune is a synbiotic, which is a different animal.
